PROMOTING COMMUNITY growth and ENRICHMENT THROUGH FOOD, ART AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Havasu Together, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, originated from a shared kitchen concept launched in 2019, known as The Kitchen Art Work Space (KAWS). The KAWS served as the catalyst for the establishment of the Lake Havasu Farmers Market, and has since grown to include the Youth Market and the Night Market.

To unify these efforts, Havasu Together was founded in 2021 by a passionate team of three. Today, the organization has evolved into a nonprofit entity governed by a five-member board and supported by a network of committed volunteers, market managers, and retail coordinators.

With decades of collective experience, the Havasu Together team excels in building partnerships, managing grants and finances, and creating market opportunities to support local producers, small businesses, and young entrepreneurs. Central to the organization’s vision is the advancement of a resilient and equitable local and regional food system — ensuring that healthy food remains within the community and is accessible to the community members who need it most.

In addition to producing local markets, Havasu Together was honored to receive the Purchase Local Arizona Grant in 2025. Through this funding, they provided $20 of Arizona-grown produce to 120 local families for 10 months — delivering a total of 1,200 farm-fresh produce bags directly to the Lake Havasu City community.

This impactful initiative was made possible through partnerships with WAVE Culinary & Hospitality, Sun Produce Co-op, and Rosebird Farms. It was a major undertaking and a true example of what’s possible when local businesses and organizations come together for the good of their community.
